Butter Chicken Curry Spice Kit makes a rich curry dish with a medium hot taste. The chicken is marinated in yogurt and spices then cooked in a spicy tomato sauce and finished with cream. There a few different cooking processes to this butter chicken dish but each is simple and the results are well worth it! This butter chicken curry kit will serve up to 4 people.

This what else you need to make your Butter Chicken curry spice kit! 

Choose your main ingredient from 500  g–750 g diced chicken or paneer, 8 cloves garlic, peeled, 30g ginger, peeled, 2 tbsp oil, 2 tsp salt, juice of 1 lemon, 250 ml natural yoghurt, wooden skewers, 800 g tinned chopped tomatoes, 80 g butter, 75 ml single cream, 1 tsp sugar, 2 green chillies, sliced.


The instructions:

  1. For the marinade: Puree 4 garlic cloves and 10g of ginger together with the oil and mix in a bowl together with the contents of Spice Bag A, 1 tsp of salt, lemon juice and yoghurt. Add the diced chicken/Paneer and combine with the mixture and leave for 20 minutes.
  2. Soak the skewers in water for 20 minutes then skewer the chicken/ paneer and place on a tray with any remaining marinade.
  3. Pre-heat the grill to its highest setting and line the grill pan with foil. Lay the marinated chicken or paneer and any remaining marinade onto the prepared grill. Cook on all sides until coloured.
  4. For the sauce: empty the chopped tomatoes in a pan. Add the contents of Spice Bag B, 4 garlic cloves (crushed), 10g of ginger (bruised) with 150ml of water. Bring to the boil then simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Remove the whole spices and blend the mixture in the pan. Pass it through a sieve returning it to a clean pan and simmer for 15 minutes. Add the chicken or paneer and marinade, 150ml water and simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the butter and simmer for a further 10 minutes. Add the remaining 10g of ginger (finely chopped), the contents of Spice Bag C, cream, sugar and 1 tsp salt to taste then simmer for a couple minutes. Add the sliced green chillies and serve.
